On 31 July 2006 the Islamic Resistance announced the hitting of a "Saar 4.5" corvette off the Bayyada shore south of Tyre, to which boats and helicopters rushed (Israel did not admit the hit); the resistance fighters destroyed five tanks, two bulldozers and an armoured jeep on the Kfar Kila–Taibeh–Adaisseh triangle, and Israel began a psychological war with leaflets and phone calls to empty what remained of the villages. The Security Council unanimously adopted a declaration of "deep regret" over Qana after Washington struck out the phrase "unacceptable act" and the call for "an immediate cessation of hostilities".
