⚔Fall of Taibeh and the start of the strip's collapse

On 21 May 2000 the people of Taibeh, Qana and the surrounding villages flooded into the town of Taibeh after its garrison withdrew, and Lahd's army's positions in the central sector collapsed one after another within hours; the next day Bint Jbeil and the posts of the western sector fell to the townspeople and the resistance fighters, and on 23 May Khiyam and Marjayoun, forcing Israel to bring the withdrawal date forward from July to 24 May.
