☠Assassination of Wissam al-Hassan

On 19 October 2012 Major General Wissam al-Hassan, head of the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces and the man who uncovered the Michel Samaha network, was assassinated by a car bomb in Ashrafieh together with seven others; 14 March accused the Syrian regime and demanded the fall of Mikati's government.
