●Protests over the anti-Islam film and the killing of the US ambassador in Benghazi

On 11 September 2012 protests broke out in Cairo and Benghazi and then across the Islamic world against the film "Innocence of Muslims", which insulted the Prophet, and the American ambassador Christopher Stevens and three Americans were killed in an attack on the consulate in Benghazi; in Lebanon a demonstrator was killed in Tripoli and an American restaurant burned, and Hezbollah called the "loyalty to the Prophet" march.
