●The wave of Israeli spy-ring arrests
The Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces arrested the retired brigadier Adib al-Alam in the Dekwaneh area, and after his questioning began his wife was summoned, suspected of being his partner in his intelligence work, and she gave information her husband had been withholding. He confessed to working for the enemy's intelligence for decades and to supplying it with information the occupation army used in its aggression on Lebanon in the summer of 2006, among it information and coordinates of infrastructure that was destroyed. He had also drawn his wife into dealing with the enemy and taken her on his "trips" to the occupied Palestinian territories, where he met his Israeli handlers. In 2013 the permanent military court sentenced him to 15 years in prison after convicting him of dealing with the enemy.
