⚔The July 2006 war

From 12 July to 14 August 2006 Israel waged an air and ground war on Lebanon after the capture of the two soldiers: about 1,200 Lebanese dead (1,109 by Human Rights Watch's count), among them some 250 Hezbollah fighters by the party's own admission, a million displaced, and the destruction of the southern suburbs and the South; against 165 Israeli dead (121 soldiers and 44 civilians) and daily rockets on the settlements. It ended with Resolution 1701 without Israel achieving its aims.
