✍The maritime border agreement
On 27 October 2022 Lebanon and Israel signed the maritime border demarcation agreement through American mediation (Amos Hochstein), which gave Lebanon the Qana field and Israel Karish. On the day of the signing Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah called the agreement "a great, a very great victory for Lebanon, for the state, for the people and for the resistance", said the Karish drones had given the negotiations a big push and that the resistance had kept exceptional mobilisation measures in place for months, then announced their end: "The mission is accomplished, and thank you." He revealed on 29 October that Israel had moved the test extraction from inside Karish after the drones and that Hochstein had acknowledged that fear of a regional war had driven the understandings; the 2.5 km² triangle near Naqoura remained deferred.
