●Message on the seven points and the draft UN resolution

On the evening of 9 August 2006 Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah called on the government and the people to hold together and reject American pressure over the seven points and the draft resolution in the Security Council, and announced acceptance of the army's deployment on the border under conditions, affirming that the ground battles proved the resistance "is still standing and still strong"; two days before Resolution 1701.
