The first elections after the Syrian withdrawal were held in four rounds: Beirut on 29 May, the South on 5 June, the Mountain and the Bekaa on 12 June, the North on 19 June. The 14 March list won the majority (72 deputies) through the "quadripartite alliance" with Amal and Hezbollah, and Aoun's bloc swept the Christian vote in the Mountain.
