●Release of Souha Bechara after ten years in Khiam

On 13 September 1998 the occupation authorities released Souha Bechara, the most famous of the Lebanese women prisoners, after ten years of detention without trial in the Khiam prison following her attempt to assassinate Antoine Lahd in 1988.
