⚔Assault on Islamic Jihad in Gaza

Between 5 and 7 August 2022 Israel waged Operation "Breaking Dawn" against Islamic Jihad in Gaza (49 dead) without Hamas taking part. From the Ashura platform on 7 August Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah praised "the courage of the Palestinian response" to the assassination of the commander al-Jabari, holding that leaving the assassination unanswered would have brought strikes on Gaza, and said as Islamic Jihad announced the ceasefire: "This is not the end of the conflict and not the end of the battle with this enemy." On 6 August Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah had called the assassination of Tayseer al-Jabari "a clear, naked and unprovoked Israeli aggression", affirming the Palestinian resistance's right to respond and warning Israel: "Do not miscalculate with Lebanon."
