☠Assassination of Sheikh Ragheb Harb

On 16 February 1984 Sheikh Ragheb Harb, the imam of Jibsheet and the symbol of the resistance in the South, who had refused to shake hands with the Israelis, was shot dead by unknown gunmen near his house; Israel was accused, and he became "the sheikh of the martyrs of the Islamic Resistance".
