On 16 June 2000 Kofi Annan informed the Security Council that Israel had completed its withdrawal under 425 to the "Blue Line" drawn by the United Nations; Lebanon registered reservations over the Shebaa Farms, the Kfarshouba hills and other border points, and so the dispute over the Farms was born, governing the southern front until 2006.
