On 27 November 2012 al-Akhbar published recordings of the deputy Okab Sakr (the Shia deputy in Hariri's bloc) with commanders of the Syrian opposition discussing arms shipments, revealing the Future Movement's involvement in arming the opposition through the ports of Beirut and Tripoli.
