✸Two bombs outside the Iranian cultural centre

On 19 February 2014 two suicide bombers blew themselves up near the Iranian cultural centre in Bir Hassan (11 martyrs); the Abdullah Azzam Brigades claimed it. Three days earlier Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah had said the bombings came from "takfiri combat groups, not jihadist ones", that Saudi Arabia's banning its young men from fighting in Syria protected the Saudi state but did not end the war, and that the party's presence in Qusayr protected some 30,000 Lebanese there.
