⚔Dekwaneh clashes

On 1 July 1974 wide clashes broke out in Dekwaneh, next to the Tel al-Zaatar camp, between Palestinian factions and local volunteers from the Kataeb and the National Liberals, against the background of a series of kidnappings; on 13 April 1974 seven Christian travellers had been killed at a checkpoint in the area. One of the first Christian–Palestinian armed confrontations that paved the way to the war.
