¤The Stockholm reconstruction conference

On 31 August 2006 the Stockholm conference pledged some 940 million dollars for the relief and reconstruction of Lebanon after the war, alongside Gulf support; official reconstruction competed with Hezbollah's "Waad" project over the southern suburbs.
