●Beit Yahoun reception speech: "Barak is weaker than a spider's web"
On 17 May 1999, the day of the Israeli elections, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah received in the southern suburbs the men who carried out the Beit Yahoun operation, with the captured armoured carrier, which the brother of one of the martyrdom bombers drove from the heart of the position to the suburbs; he handed the captured rifle to Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah at the reception (the famous video). He said that "the culture of the Nakba has left our heads" and that whoever won, Netanyahu or Barak, "has no choice in Lebanon but to withdraw without restriction or condition"; he recalled that three years earlier he had called Netanyahu "weaker than a mosquito's wing" and added: "If Barak wins, I tell you that Barak is feebler than a spider's web", the first use of the phrase a year before the Bint Jbeil speech. He announced that four of Lahd's men were held for exchange, and that if the withdrawal happened it would be "no thanks to America", which gives Israel three billion a year.
