●Hezbollah's open letter

On 16 February 1985, on the anniversary of the assassination of Sheikh Ragheb Harb, Sayyed Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyed read out the "Open Letter" that formally announced the founding of Hezbollah and its programme: resistance to the occupation, allegiance to the Guardianship of the Jurist, and rejection of the sectarian system.
