●Saad Hariri designated again

On 24 May 2018 Saad Hariri was designated to form the government after the elections, but the dispute over the Christian, Sunni and Druze shares held up the formation for nine months, until 31 January 2019. The next day Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said the party set no conditions that would delay the formation and "we did not ask for a sovereign ministry" but for a planning ministry, and launched a national campaign against corruption and waste led by the deputy Hassan Fadlallah: "This is a great national battle."
