☠Gebran Tueni assassinated

On 12 December 2005 the deputy and editor of "An-Nahar" Gebran Tueni was killed by a car bomb in Mkalles the day after his return from Paris, on the day Mehlis presented his second report; the most violent of the 2005 assassinations, it led the ministers of the Shia duo to suspend their participation in the government.
