On 12 April 1974, the day after the Khalisa operation, Israeli forces raided five or six border villages, among them Dhayra, Aitaroun, Blida, Mhaibib and Taibeh, and blew up houses whose owners they accused of sheltering the fedayeen; the defence minister Moshe Dayan called it "a political, not a military, act".
