✸Libbaya–Bir al-Dahr clash; commander Abu Ali Shahla killed

On 24 August 1988 at least seven Israeli soldiers were killed in a confrontation with the occupation forces and the collaborators in the Libbaya–Bir al-Dahr area of the West Bekaa, and the commander Abu Ali Shahla and four resistance fighters (Ali Hussein, Hussein Khazaal, Issa Khazaal, Youssef al-Husseini) were martyred.
