On 27 November 1989 the detainees in the Khiam prison rose up and two of them were martyred (Bilal al-Salman and Mohammed Abu al-Izz); the Islamic Resistance answered with two operations at Barghoz and Khardali in which nine soldiers were killed and two collaborators captured.
