✸Kidnapping of the Iranian diplomats

On 4 July 1982 a Lebanese Forces checkpoint at Barbara stopped four Iranians, among them the chargé d'affaires Mohsen Mousavi and the military attaché Ahmad Motevaselian, and they disappeared; Iran accuses Israel of holding them, and their fate remains unknown.
