⚰The day of seventy martyrs: Srifa, Nabi Sheet and Salaa

On 19 July 2006 the day's martyrs passed seventy: ten houses brought down on their occupants in Srifa, seven in a four-storey building in Nabi Sheet, five in Salaa, and the Capitol building in Nabatieh; in Aitaroun the mujahideen ambushed a landing force and destroyed three Merkava tanks, and at Labbouneh an infiltrating force was forced back. Mahmoud Qmati said the rocket arsenal was "enough for months", and Patriarch Sfeir visited Rice in Washington, warning that implementing 1559 by force "would entangle us in massacres".
