●Ashura 1999: "wait for the resistance at the doors of your houses and your bedrooms"

On 26 April 1999 (the tenth of Muharram 1420, coinciding with the anniversary of Grapes of Wrath) Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah addressed the officers and men of Lahd's militia, to whom Israel wanted to hand the forward positions: not repentance alone but "rising against the enemy and turning your rifles on the chests of its officers", otherwise "wait for the resistance's mujahideen not only at the crossroads… but at the doors of your houses and the doors of your bedrooms", the origin of the threat "in their homes and in their beds" on the eve of the withdrawal. He rejected any guarantee for the enemy ("the first sign of weakness"), affirming readiness on the eve of the Israeli elections of 17 May.
